What Wesleyans Believe...
The Wesleyan Church
began in 1968, with the merger of The Wesleyan Methodist Church and The Pilgrim Holiness Church. Our roots are in the post-Reformation Methodist movement initiated by John and Charles Wesley.
We believe in the Trinity, that the Son and the Holy Spirit are co-equal and co-eternal with the Father. We believe that all Scripture is "God-breathed" and is completely inerrant in the original autographs. The infallible Word
of God is our sole authority for faith and conduct. We believe that all men are called to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with sins forgiven and the reward of eternal life. We believe Christ died not only to free us
from the penalty of sin, but also to free us from the power of sin. Through faith in Christ, the believer is empowered to live a holy life before God. We believe in the personal, visible and imminent return of Jesus Christ to
redeem His people and to execute judgment on the wicked.
