Pastor Dan and Pastor Patty David came to Zephyrhills Wesleyan as co-pastors in July 2002, after having served for 19 years in pastoral ministry.
Pastor Dan is a 1983 graduate of United Wesleyan College
(formerly in Allentown, PA) and completed his master's classes at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, in 1995. He is a gifted communicator and an exhorter at heart. His practical
messages and administrative skills are a great contribution to the positive attitude and productivity of Zephyrhills Wesleyan Church.
Pastor Patty is also a 1983 graduate of United Wesleyan College and received her master's degree from American Bible College and Seminary in 1995 and her
PhD from Georgetown Wesleyan University in 2007. She regularly writes Bible commentary for our denominational publications and published her one-year survey of the Bible, Through the Bible
, in 1995 (Wesleyan Publishing House; also available at WPH Online). In 2005 she wrote
"Listening to God through John," part of the Lectio Divina Bible study series published by Wesleyan Publishing House and Beacon Hill Press. Her heart is in teaching and discipling
and she challenges our congregation to dig deeper into the Word. Many of Pastor Patty's writings, including a full apologetics course, new converts' curriculum and
in-depth discipleship materials are available in PDF format at www.biblebasicsandbeyond.com.Pastor Patty is the current dean of the College of Biblical Studies and Theology at Georgetown Wesleyan University of the Americas and also serves as the vice president for religious studies.
Pastors Dan and Patty
were ordained together in 1985 and have always served together as a team in ministry. They have two children, Jonathan and Rebecca, who are attending Southeastern University in Lakeland. [For more information on The Wesleyan Church's stance on women in ministry, visit our denomation's web site or
