OUR WORSHIP: At ZWC, our goal is to make every Sunday service a worship experience — not through gimmicks or manipulated emotionalism, but through honest connection with God and His Word. Our focus is not on music or on people, but on the God who wants to “get into“ your life and make a difference every moment of every day. So, don’t expect to come and be entertained. You’re not going to hear a large choir or guest soloists or bands each week. You won’t see an animated, name-dropping preacher ranting and raving as he roams around on a brightly lit stage while you sit in a dark, movie-theater-like room. What you’ll find is heartfelt worship focused on the message of the music and not the style. Sure, we sing some great contemporary worship songs like, ”All My Praise,” “Orphans of God,” ”Revelation Song,” “How Great Is Our God” and “Mighty to Save,” but we also sing beautiful new arrangements and medleys that include songs like ”How Great Thou Art,” ”It Is Well with My Soul” and ”The Old Rugged Cross.” We even do some toe-tapping to some southern gospel-type music. All our worship music has one common goal — to lead you into the presence of God and to give you a song in your heart to help you through your week. Our pastors are masterful at helping you to understand the truth of the Bible. They bring it to a level anyone can understand, but with insights and applications that satisfy those who have already mastered the basics. Their goal is not to build a name for themselves but to build up and disciple the Body of Christ. Message outlines are available every week to help you remember what you’ve learned, and every message is available on iTunes (www.danandpattydavid.com) so you can share it with someone else. They also print discussion guides on the back of the outline every week so you can meet with a group of friends in your home to discuss the Bible passage or concepts shared in the message in a non-confrontational way. That’s one way our pastors equip you to make a difference in your neighborhood or in your family. |
